Position Description 

 Complete responsibility to manage the entire scope of a construction project from the estimating phase through the closeout. The Project Manager is also responsible for leading the project management team including: Field Superintendents, Project Coordinators, and administrative staff members. This position requires confidence, independent action, initiative, a sense of urgency, and the ability to make decisions and take responsibility for them. This job requires self-assurance and competitive drive. There is a strong demand for high quality, organized and repeatable results. The responsibilities are broad in scope, encompassing a wide variety of activities requiring rapid shifts in priorities. This is primarily a task-focused job, requiring a somewhat authoritative, directive leadership style that encourages results driven, task-oriented collaboration. 

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities 
Provide Project leadership to achieve established goals

  • Ensure project plans meet organizational needs and stay      on track
  • Ensures strict adherence to project schedule
  • Cultivate strong relationships with customers and      clients.
  • Change order management
  • Project purchasing & Material expediting
  • Contract writing and issuance
  • Project cost control and forecasting
  • Project closeout
  • Estimating/Pre-construction
  • Development of staff through performance management,      training, coaching and mentoring
  • Hiring and onboarding
  • Good oral communication skills with owner, architect      and subcontractors.
  • Review and analyze drawings, specifications and project      requirements
  • Coordinate daily construction activities with      subcontractors, material suppliers, and third party individuals.
  • Extensive experience supervising and managing multiple      subcontractors
  • Review of the design scope and approach regarding      constructability, phasing and coordination.
  • Participate in project buy-out/scope review meetings.
  • Participate in subcontractor interviews.
  • Direct day-to-day on-site supervision of field labor      force.
  • Review and be familiar with the project budget and      general conditions estimate.
  • Review and approve Subcontractor Schedule of Values      with Project Manager.
  • Review and approve Monthly Subcontractor Requests for      Payment based on the approved Subcontractor Schedule of Values with      Project Manager.
  • Develop and maintain site logistics plan
  • Purchase Order management, control, ordering materials      and coordination of deliveries to the site.
  • Conduct quality & safety inspections.
  • Coordinate site testing and inspection efforts.
  • Communicate and enforce Safety and Health Program.
  • Prepare and submit Daily Reports and take daily      progress photographs.
  • Participate in project meetings, including      subcontractor meetings and conduct foreman’s meetings.
  • Review and assist in developing scopes of work for each      subcontractor.
  • Review subcontractor’s change order requests from      subcontractors
  • Ensure contractors and/or subcontractors complete field      work associated with close out activities; including punchlist and      addressing warranty issues.
  • Maintain and document As- Built drawings


A completed bachelor’s degree with a major in Construction Management or Bachelor’s Degree of Civil Engineering.
